Description: This course will improve your playing because you will know WHY you are playing what you are playing. Course studies will include Circle of Fifths, Major Scales and Intervals, Diatonic Harmony, how to construct triads and seventh chords, Key Signature and Time Signatures and the Modes.

Harmony & Percussion Bootcamp

Wednesdays, 4:15-5:00pm

Students will gain confidence in singing harmony and will become a value-added player who can participate in more songs and who doesn't want more time in the spotlight?!!

Course studies will include and range from:

o Strengthen vocal skill
o Ear training using intervals
o Adding harmonies to melodies within a song
o Key signatures
o Writing har

PERCUSSION BOOT CAMP with PROFESSOR JOE
Students should prepare to have their butts kicked as they learn to use percussion instruments to make music! Not Noise!
Course studies will include and range from:
o Drum set (There's a course in itself!)
o Hand Drumming
o Afro-Cuban/Brazilian/World Rhythms
o Rudimental Drumming
o Ensemble Interaction
o Tuning, set-up and maintenance
o And many, many, MANY MORE!

Upon completion of this comprehensive class, students will have a solid understanding of drums and percussion as an art, and will more easily apply it to their own creative situations. What does all this mean? They'll soon be players! Oooooooh Snap!
